Austin finally learned to tie shoes a few nights ago before his first indoor soccer match of the season. I purposly bought him new shoes that tied and told him he had to practice and learn. It really only took him a short time once he put his mind to it. I was super proud of him and excited he reached a milestone.
The very next morning, my sweet daughter got up at 6:30 AM, Got Daddy's shoe out of the closet, climbed up on the couch and proceeded to teach herself how to tie. She was proud and and were all proud of her too, even Austin.
Congrats on teaching Austin and Elissa the basics of shoe tying. It's great that you spend time teaching them how to do that. Most people neglect the importance of teaching the basics to their kids, but I really think that shoe tying is an important milestone that kids should learn how to do as early as they can. If you know some parents who are having trouble teaching their kids shoe tying, you can send them to us, since we have materials that can help. Here's our website: http://www.junctionoffunction.com/
